North Devon offers a wide range of attractions to suit all people. Keen walkers can use the South West Coastal footpath which leads you along the dramatic coastline. Lundy Island is offshore from Ilfracombe and the Oldenburg sails regularly for day trips or longer stays. Coastal cruises and fishing trips are also available from Ilfracombe Harbour. A links golf course is close by as well as the award winning Watermough Castle.

The market towns of Barnstaple and South Molton offer lots of local produce and handicrafts and there are numerous small villages each with its own unique heritage.

The three mile sandy beach of Woolacombe is a 15 min drive away – great for sandcastle building and with good surfing both there and at Croyde. Rock pooling fun can be had at Lee, Hele or Combe Martin beach.

Cycle enthusiasts can make use of the Tarka Trail, a cycle path that follows the old railway routes. Tennis courts can be booked at Bicclescombe Park. Ilfracombe Swimming Pool is a short drive from the farm. There is a a good cinema in Ilfracombe.

For those with younger children there are a host of attractions which offer good value for money including Watermouth Castle, Exmoor Zoo, Tunnels Beaches, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, the Big Sheep and many more.

You may want to make the most of the stunning scenery from the peace and quiet of your van and watch the changing moods of the sea. Seals, porpoises and basking sharks are frequently seen in our waters as well as the buzzards, guillemots and sea birds.
